- 4 tilapia fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- juice of 1 lemon
Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). This is the ideal temperature for getting that flaky texture without drying out the fish.
Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Arrange the tilapia fillets in a single layer.
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture over each fillet evenly. You can also drizzle with lemon juice at this stage or wait until after baking for a brighter flavor. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. Tilapia is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
