Prep Time 3 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Servings: 8 hot dogs
Course: dinner, lunch
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of hot dogs Your choice of beef, regular, or turkey.
  • 1 pack of hot dog buns
  • toppings of your choice

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Aluminum foil or parchment paper
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). This temperature ensures the hot dogs cook through and get that slightly crisp outer skin.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  3. Lay the hot dogs in a single layer on the sheet pan.
  4. Place the pan on the middle rack of your oven. Bake for 12–15 minutes, turning the hot dogs halfway through to ensure even cooking. If you like them extra crispy, you can broil them for 1–2 minutes at the end.
  5. For restaurant-style hot dog buns, place them on the sheet pan during the last 2–3 minutes of baking. This gives them a warm, slightly crispy texture.
  6. Remove your hot dogs from the oven, place them in buns, and add your favorite toppings.
