Easy Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe: Made From Scratch in Minutes
I love mayonnaise, but not the additives that often come with it. That’s what inspired me to create the recipe I’m about to share with you today! Not only is this homemade mayonnaise good for you, but it tastes delicious as well!

- 1 egg
- 1 cup light olive oil
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
Add all the ingredients to your jar, starting with the egg and olive oil.
Place your stick blender at the bottom of the jar. Hold it in place and turn it on. Blend for about 20 seconds until the mixture begins to emulsify.
Once the mayonnaise starts to form, gently move the stick blender up and down to incorporate all the ingredients fully.
Your mayonnaise should now be thick and completely emulsified. If it’s not thick enough, blend for a few more seconds.
Taste your mayonnaise and adjust seasoning if necessary. Add a pinch more salt or a dash of lemon juice to balance the flavors to your liking.
Use your homemade mayonnaise immediately, or transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
